Did you even bother to read the article or did the "Sun waits for" totally short out your ability to reason. The article clearly states that they want it for the ISCC which is very soon.

I also noticed that you left out the quote that said

"We believe Barcelona will be the fastest chip this year."

Not to mention the part that says the conference is happening NOW and theywant to deliver the first machine to a customer. That means they have enough chips to design the Constellation machine.

131,072 chips is a large order, especially for one system. How many chips do you think Dell sells each week? Or how about Newegg?

Just cut with the negativity and maybe you won't have to keep quotes from me in your sig.

Well actually it's only 32768 chips as they spoke of 131.072 CORES :D
But if they can get them out in time for a november listing while the system needs to be built still, there's some hope yet for AMD :wink:

It's still a lot of chips. That was the point. I just get so sick of the doom and gloom.
