x1900xtx .... Normal running temperatues slowly rising

Ok. I have an x1900xtx (Gigabyte GA 965-DS4 Mobo)

I use ATI tools to change the fan speeds (without doing so the fans aren't running at 100% until the card is at over 100 degrees C).

Under normal conditions (no big programs), the fans would run at 41%
Now the card used to run at 54 C,
Then a week or two ago I noticed it was running at around 64 C
Now it's running at 68 C normally

I realise these temperatures are perfectly safe for the card, but I want to know why the "standard" temperature, with the fan running at the same speed, is rising over time.

Should I be concerned?

Has the room temperature been relatively constant?

The warmer the ambient air is, the more difficult it is to cool down components.

Also, try cleaning out your rig carefully with compressed air and a cloth. The HS Fins sometimes clog, as well as the fans can load up with dust
