I have an inspiron 6000 and it originally came with xp home edition installed but somewhere down the line someone upgraded it to vista home edition now that it is mine I would like to downgrade to the original OS it is still on the hard drive is it possible to reinstall if so pleae help me out here I would greatly appreciated

if it has a hidden restore partition you might be able to reset the computer to the factory settings, just make sure to do a backup of all the files you need to keep because it will delete everything, and leave it the way it was when you first turned it on.
