I have a compatibility question regarding memory. last year I had purchased geil 2gb (2x 1gb) model #GE2GB3200BDC and now I wanted to add more memory. I went to newegg.com and found geil 2gb (2x 1gb) model#GE2GB3200BDCK. All the specs seem to be the same, but the model numbers are off. I wanted to know if I can use the new memory even though the numbers are not the same. I know that you always want to keep memory the same, so I am a little unsure about doing this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You will have no problem using that RAM. The different model number is probably referenceing that they are using slightly different chips.

Ya I contacted the company last night and they got back to me this morning. The last few digits of the model number state where it was manufactured.
