XP Recycle Bin Automatically Empties Itself

We have one of those classic end users... always fiddling with their machine, installing the "latest and greatest" of everything that comes along, then screaming at us when they mess something up.

Unfortunately, the business side seems to think that non-IT managment personnel need to have local admin access to their own machines... So much for that solution...

They recently put Steady state on their machine. We were not notified of the change, nor do we know anything about it.

They are now complaining about the Recycle Bin automatically emptying itself when an item is dropped into it.

XP, SP3, Auto-Updates should be disabled. No further info from end-user.

Can anyone illuminate me here?

Maybe he changed the percentage of the recycle bin to 0%, have you looked into that?

Either that or the option to delete items instead of recycling has been checked. Should never delete anything you think you might need later anyway...
