So im kind of new to the overclock thing, but i get the basic understanding of how to do it. So heres my rig:
-Ati 2900xt
-Core 2 Duo e6600
-Rosewill RCX-Z775-EX 92mm cpu cooler
-150gb Raptor Hard Drive
-Asus p5k ws
-Crucial Ballistix ddr2 PC8500
I already got my cpu to run at 3.0ghz stable, but i cant seem to figure out how to get the 1:1 ratio with my fsb and memory. My current ratio right now is 5:6. Now i know my board supports up to 1333mhz fsb? How do i fully utilize this board to its potential? And can i get my ram to 1066 freq like the board states it can... everytime i try the overclock fails.
Another question is, im using windows xp (32) and i want to know if i should use 4gb of my crucial ballistix or stay with my 2gb. I know that windows only allows up to 3gb and some change on the 32 bit platforms, so will increasing the size help performance and will it effect my overclock?
Thanks guys, im new to all this overclocking thing so any help will be appreciated
