Wireless Configuration - disable

I have just purchased a Hawking Hi-Gain USB Dish Adapter. They say I need to " disable Microsoft's Wireless Configuration Utility" I am not technically minded. Is there anyone out there that could lead me through a blow by blow on how I do this. I am using Windows XP.

go to control panel find wireless connection icon open it delete the connection,thats it! Dave
