I've ordered a Antec 900 case recently, and now I'm looking into getting a 8800GTS to replace my aging 6800GT.
Thing is, I'm wondering which of two cards is better for the money.
Both are made by XFX, but one is overclocked past GTX levels while the other is just stock.
Now, XFX has a lifetime warranty on their cards I believe right?
And with the 900's great cooling, I'm figuring that it might be worthwhile to get the seriously overclocked version of the card, as cool isn't going to be a problem with the 900.
Why would you pay extra money for something you can do yourself? It's more reasonable if you push the stock graphics card yourself and see how high it will go -- maybe it won't be as great as the overclocked version, or maybe it'll be better, but at least you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself. Cheers.
Dont know where your posting from but i beleive that double life time warranty is only valid in north america.
Get the stock and oc it yourself.
