Can you all tell me what temp 1,2 and 3 are?

I assume temp2 is the northbridge.

Does it tell me case temp? OR do I need to take my own readings with a sensor?

So temp2 is my core and not the ones that say core?

OK, I am confused. Why would SpeedFan show core 1 and core 2, and in the configure section, identify the chip as "intel core"

Although I am pleased to learn that temp1 is Northbridge.

Its reading all three sensors, one in each core and the other inbetween the cores on the die. The on die sensor is the overall CPU temp, where each core temp is well each core temp. You do have two cores you know hens core 2.

I didnt know there where 3 sensors in the die. Of course I knew its a 2 core.

So temp 2 is between the 2 cores on the die and is considered to be the accurate cpu temp.

That explains it.

Thank you!

"You got it", but I'd go by the core temps over the overall temp.
