I plan on upgrading come the 22nd and get a full pc overhaul, but im still wondering which gpu best suits me. I plan to get an e6750 and oc to at least 3.5, 2 gigs, new hdd, p35 mobo, corsair psu, and a new case. I currently game at 1280x1024 and that is my max res so im deciding between a 8800gts 640 or a gtx. I play css a lot right now and is my primary game to play but im also looking into warhammer online and age of conan coming out. I'd like to play all at highest settings with solid fps. Do I really need a gtx at 1280 to play on high with >60 fps?

I can't say given the games you listed but, if you want to be able to run some of the later games at the high end level, and you like your eye candy then YES, get the GTX, you don't really need the ultra, but for sure get the GTX.

It all depends on how good you want your games to look, the more eye candie you enable the more on board RAM you'll need. Future proof and get the 8800GTX, in the end you will be glad you did. AS for a killer PC case have a look at the TJ09 from SilverStone.
