Hi:

I got a LSI 21320-R Ultra320 SCSI controller, when I attach a Seagate 10K Ultra320 36G LVD SCSI drive, about 90% it shows the data width is only 8bit, max bandwidth is 40MB/s, maybe only 10% of time it will show 16bit/80MB/s when the machine boots up, why is that?

I'm not an expert on SCSI and I wonder what kind of performance I should expect from this combination.

I have tried the same card in different machine, and also changed the cable, and it did not help. Can someone tell me whether the controller is at fault?

Thanks.
