Hello Everybody:

A friend of mine has Windows Vista Business.

Recently a weird problem has appeared, that I couldn't solve. He also couldn't indicate about a possible cause, since he is not really into computers.

The problem is that after playing any kind of media in the Windows Media Player, a folder appears on the desktop, containing nothing. It gets deleted with no problem, but at the moment there is a usage of the Media Player, this folder gets created again.

The folder is named every time with the same name, which happens to be one of his friends' name.

Any ideas? I hope I explained myself good enough.

Thank you.

I can't say I ever heard of or seen it before. Is it a normal yellow folder and find out the name, it may hold a clue, then Google the name and see what comes up.

Enable the folder options, to view hidden files. It may be placing a temp file there.

Next time I'll be in his house, I'll try it. If it does place Temp files in this folder, what can I do to prevent it?

Thank you.
