How to resolve error 0x80040707 on windows vista for downloaded games

i was download secret of the solstice and when i got to the the beginning of there set up this error came up say
''error number 0x80040707
Description: Dll function call crashed ISRT._CtrlSetMLERichText system will now terminate'' and then i clicked on ok and then this came up '' Error:0x80040707 Description:ISRT._ListDistroy". So i tried again and the same thing came up again and again and AGAIN. Some one help me cuz this is giving a headache thrying to find what is happening.
