I have a HP Pavilion dv2000 that needs to restore but cant do this as I cant read the screen due to it being multi coloured and full off lines.
Can some one tell me step by step how to fix the problem.
I have other laptops if this will help.
Please help Jim :bounce:

Try safe mode, could be a video driver problem.

Do you see the multi-colored lines right away? If it appears as soon as you turn it on it's more likely to be something to do with your hardware as apposed to software.
