So i play alot of online shooters both on the pc an on consoles. I have a 6mb dsl connection, However when my sisters uses gay sites like facebook, My gaming lags considerably. TOMSHARDWARE can you help me with this?
I currently use an all in one adsl modem/router the dsl-604+ issued by teluss.
Don't be an ahole and take all your sister's bandwidth away. Unless you're paying for the connection, she deserves it just as much as you.
Anyways, I'd run this while she's not online to get an idea of what your bandwidth really is and give her 20-45% of that. You need to limit both download AND upload to have any positive impact on your performance.
It supports QoS, and is an integrated modem/router. Although I have no personal experience with this device D-Link generally makes good modem/routers.
