I got a message box from lsass.exe saying, "When trying to update a password,
this return status indicates that the value provided as the current password
is not correct." Then the system would restart itself, and re-display the
message, over and over. I'm running Windows XP Home.

If this were sasser, then the user would be able to logon and would also see
a shutdown initiated by NT Authority following an error with LSA Shell. I
don't think this is the case, but rather it sounds like a corrupted
registry.

Hi.. the difference between isass.exe (isass.exe is registered as the
Optix.Pro virus which carries in it's payload, the ability to disable
firewalls and local security protections, and a backdoor capability) but
this is
lsass which is a system error.. I'm learning trying to pass it on.. Rainy
