Fraps Under XP64 Acting Strange

I am using Fraps 3.0.2 released very recently. This happened even in the old version.

In the Task Manager, the file fraps64.dat shows it as taking 894,xxx K of memory. Around 1GB! When I "end process" this file, the Task Manager itself exits! When I ctrl+alt+del again, the task manager shows "fraps.exe *32" a reasonable 24,xxx K of memory. The memory section also shows around 1GB memory freed up! Even when I start Fraps my computer freezes for a few seconds, except my mouse.

Can anyone tell what the hell is going on?

Today, when the computer booted, this problem was not there. May be it happens after playing a game. (It's Oblivion these days.)

Did not happen after exiting the game. May be the problem is solved. Though it may be necessary to know the cause and a solution for those who may have this permanently or too often.
