What is the best virus protection and internet protection?

Hi guys,

I have used AVG that came free with my CPU and it doesn't seem to cut it, it doesn't detect anything.

I just downloaded Malwarebytes and it found 9 infections, not viruses, just crap. I am currently running Microsoft Security essentials that I downloaded today and I heard it's pretty good.

I need an internet protection software too. So what would you guys recommend for really good free anti virus or something that isn't so expensive? Also, an internet security program?

Avast free does a good job, but you can't run it with MSE, so MSE would need uninstalled first. Avast includes a network shield, so it can intercept viruses in email and web pages.
