gigabyte m55sli- help with sli

hello,
i just built a new computer and cant get sli to work.
specs:
AMD dual core 64bit 5600+
gigabyte m55sli
4g ram
300g harddrive
2xgigabyte 8600gts silentpipe3

i installed the latest drivers for the video cards, iv read post that you should be getting a pop up message when u start the computer to enable sli, but no such thing comes up.

iv tryed both cards in slot one both work fine.
updated the bios still nothing.

can someone please help me with this, would be helpful.

Right click anywhere on your desktop and open Nvidia Control Panel. From the Control Panel menu find 'enable SLI'.

Section 1-6 of your manual describes your MB's SLI function.
