Hi,

I've been searching for the subject for quite a while now but manufacturers are never precise and I must confess I'm lost with all the information.

Here's my problem: I have a wireless network up and running with my D-Link DI-634 router. And now I acquired a desktop running Windows Vista 64. After struggling with USB wireless adapters for a while, I decided to go with a more robust and OS/driver independant approach, so I need to buy a single wireless device that connects to the already set wireless network and I will connect this new device to the computer through an ethernet cable.

From what I've been reading, I need a wireless bridge, is that right? If so, how can I find out if a specific router or access point has that functionality? I'm in Brazil, it's not easy to find regular models, so I need to know if a device works or not.

If the manufacturer says it supports AP, AP Client, AP+Bridge, Bridge, Universal/WDS Repeater mode, is it good for me? Which mode specifically?

I think maybe one of these will do the job:

But I'm considering other options.

Any input would be appreciated
