well, my 8800gtx never got above 70 even while gaming for hours on end, so I'd have to say that's a little high.

its slightly on the high side....but its nothing to get really concerned over. GPU's are known to go up to 120 degrees and still work.

im pretty sure farhang had some heating issues aswell...

bottom line is, they can work at high temps...so is not a big issue (unless you want to overclock).

just make sure your pc case is well ventilated and that you clean out the dust (you'd be surprised how much dust can build up in a pc)

Unfortunately, my X800XL doesn't do too well above 80C. Source based games seem to be ok up to 90C, but anything else (even Painkiller) either causes my PC to crash, or I get checker board artifacts. :x

hmmm....

maybe its just the nvidia ones that work over 110

i know that i can take my card upto 85 by using the artifact monitor is ati tool..and it works just fine.

on a hot day i can get 81ish out of my GTX(BFG OC)

Just know that your GPU can take ALLOT of heat and keep going.

My X850 topped 100(nothing like not seeing a line graph on ati tool)
My X1900 topped 90

They all ran fine like this. Do note my ATI's go after market heatsinks to drop the temps to the 60's.

I am not gonna worry about my GTX since its fan has never increased in speed(seems to always be @ 60% and thats quiet enough for me) yet(unless that bastard does it while i sleep....sneaky flucker).
