I was wondering if anyone knew of any tools to edit out commercials in
HDTV Transport streams in Linux?

I have a PCHDTV card in Gentoo Linux and want to edit out all those pesky
commercials.

Thank you
Nick D

I don't use Linux (though I keep meaning to try it) except that I do
have a Roku HD1000, which runs Linux. Look at the page:
http://www.dododge.net/roku/hd1000.html and particularly the section
headed "MPEG2 (mainly Linux) resources." In that list, "GOPchop" and
"Linux Video Editor (lve)" look like they might do the job, and there
may be others.
