How much of an overclock would I get with this system (CPU)

Well, firstly I am just simply wondering what sort of overclock I would get on my CPU with this system;

X1950XT Pro - Graphics
E6600 C2D - Processor
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DQ6 Motherboard
Corsair 620WT HX Series PSU
Thermaltake Kandalf LCS Case
Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme Heatsink

Obviously it is just air cooling and I have never before overclocked but am reading many a guide on forums and other resources and it all seems pretty simple. So could anyone estimate what overclock I would get with this by GHz and what temperatures it should be by the end after only overclocking the CPU. Any information I have forgotten just ask.

Not to be rude, but if you read through the forum, you should know the answer
It depends on many things
You'll suerely reach 2.40 GHz (stock) and with luck 3GHz, good luck 3.2GHz, a damn lucky guy: 3.6GHz, you know some one at Intel foundary (3.8-4GHz)

Maybe instead of posting question to launch speculations on your speed, give yourself a try, and post questions if you hung up in your overclocking

Good luck

@ the op - you know what that board and heatsink are capable of. Now it's all about your patience/skills, that cpu capability to oc and ram (if using 1:1).

did you read it carefully and think?
He said lucky because we never know what kind of cpu we get. I'm pretty sure that an e6600 will reach at least 3.2 but we never know. He wasn't referring to the cooler itself. You can even oc to 3.6 on stock cooling without throttling...

Ha yeah you won't need luck to reach 3.0, that should be a breeze with that cooler. I just hit 3.0 with my Quad 6600 and a Tuniq. Would like to see the results you get! I would say anywhere from 3.2-3.8
