Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 NEC

Hi,

My friend gave me his faulty PC to play around with. I was just wondering what the "NEC" was at the end of the title on the COA sticker? I would say "NEC" the company... But this is stuck onside a Packard Bell machine.

Any ideas?

Hi, to give you an insight... It is the same as ANY other COA... No more, no less. Apart from the fact that the title reads:

"Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005" with the words "NEC" below the word "Windows.".

At first I thought it was just a standard OEM. But I know NEC is a PC company, but useally OEM's would have their brand labled differently. It dosn't even say OEM on the lable.

Sounds like a NEC OEM sticker. Maybe NEC owns Packard Bell.
