I have been looking for a wired router so that i could have my pc and the family laptop connected to the ethernet at the same time.

I currently have a 512mb connection as i live in ireland and all the "broadband" connections are very poor

Can anyone suggest a decent low budget network switch for my circumstances as i don know anything about their speeds and other specs?

Thanks in advance

Sorry its not letting me edit this thread for some reason, what i meant to say at the start was that im looking for a network switch, not a router.Would the above be fast enough to use all my ethernets speed?

So from personal experience avoid D-Link at all costs. Netgear isn't that much better. To be honest it is almost pointless to do 10/100 if you can get a 10/100/1000 for a couple of dollars more. Here are my recommendations as they are Cisco rated\owned now.

are you trying to have both laptop and pc connected to the internet at the same time, because if so you will need a router, or you will need 2 ip's supplied to you from your isp
