This is a Toshiba Qosmio, and seems to be very good. It COMES WITH Vista Ultimate, which is one of the main things I like about it! My main concern is the graphics card, is it good enough?

This Acer also seems just as good. The Webcam is like 2.0 Megapixel(Qosmio is like 1.3), the graphics card is 8600 GT(!!), and the only downfall is that it isn't Vista Ultimate(it's Home Premium, but this is still good)

I'm getting the Toshiba for $1350, but with a mail in rebate it's $1199. So it's $1199 vs $1099. Both are around the same, with Ultimate and 8600 GT being the positives of each. So which one seems like the better investment?

I would get the ACER if you're gonna be playing games with it. The Toshiba has an Intel GMA X3100 which, if you bothered to do any research, is a dog that needs to be shot to put it out of it's misery, for gaming performance.

The Toshiba does have a C2D that is 167MHz faster and Vista Ultimate, but the GMA is budget entry level for a gaming laptop. If gaming is important, then within 3 months you'll be kicking yourself because you more or less just wasted your money. You'll need to dish out more $$$ for a brand new laptop with a better GPU.

The ACER only has Vista Home and a slightly slower CPU. But guess what, you can upgrade both of them in the future. Having the 8600GT Go is the trump card, plus it's cheaper and not on backorder.
