3 different WD 500GB SATA 3G

the link is a comparison list on newegg of 3 different sata 16mb cache harddrives. whats the difference between them other than the warranties? i looked at western digitals website but there is no information regarding the models.

  1. The second one is RE, which means "raid edition" so it's specifically designed to be used in a raid array

    The last one is just the retail version of the first which means it comes in a colored box with pictures on it rather than the plain box that the OEM comes in.

    Get the first SE if you want a standalone drive, get the RE if you want to Raid, forget about the third one
