So I recenty built a new gaming rig, with the intent of ocing the Chip and RAM some...

Before I go on, my system specs:

Thermaltake Armor Jr. case with 3x120mm fans, 600Watt PSU, P5B-Plus, C2D E6420, MaxOrb cooler, 2gigs Corsair XMS2 PC6400C4D, eVGA 8800GTS 320Mb vid Card, 250Gigs WD Caviar SATA300/7200RPM/16Mb cache.

Now, my system is very well ventilated. However my Tcase temps (BIOS/Speedfan) are like 39-45C idle and 57-61C @ 100 load via TAT. This is were it gets interesting... TAT and speedfan both record my Tjunction temps @ 27-31C idle and 47-50C full load again with the use of TAT. My question here is WTH is goin on, mobo or chip issue? I know for a fact that the core temps are supposed to be close = or > than the "processors" temps.

Any input would be awsome, since im quite frankly puzzled!

Ok... However if my HSF was or is "defective" how come my coretemps are so low? Just trying to make sense of this mess...

Edit: One more thing, if it is indeed a HSF issue. What coolers would you recommend... (First C2D built here).
