I have a new pc with windows 7. Purchased MS Office Pro Plus 2010. I've downloaded the apps but it will not install. Says compatibility problems. I've tried the recommended compatibility troubleshooter - no luck. Some says I must go to the registry as my oc is 64bit while windows 7 is 32 bit???? What do I do?

Regards

You can't install a 64-bit application on a 32-bit operating system. Get the 32-bit version of Office.

Thanks for the response. MS Site says it only comes in 32 bit operating system. Weird that they don't tell you anything when you purchase.

You are mixing up your versions and possibly what is Windows and what is Office. Check both Windows and Office and see what versions you have, 32 bit or 64 bit. Office 2010 will install on both 32 and 64 bit Windows as long as you pick the right one http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/office-2010-...

The 32 bit version of Office will install on both 32 and 64 bit Windows.
