Pure Dos Mode

In order to upgrade my BIOS, I have to enter pure dos mode.
In the days of floppy disks, that was all very easy.
In the days of notebooks and computers that no longer have floppy disks...

can somebody please tell me how to upgrade my notebook bios in "pure dos mode".

I have XP as the only operating system on my laptop.

I have no program with which to make a bootable cd... what do you suggest?

Do you have a CD writer? If so look here. If not, how about a bootable usb flash drive?

Can you give more info on your system?
Generally a BIOS update contains everything that it needs to complete, so no DOS is needed.
You can use a floppy or a cd and if your computer will allow you can use a USB stick.
