My cd rom will no longer work

Hello,
ok when I find {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}I cant find the fliters what do I need to do?????I have Windows Vista my computer is a emachine please help

Do not understand your question. Please give more information.

if the drive is faulty removing the upper and lower filters won't help.
If you have a bootable Windows disk or can borrow one, set the cd/dvd as first boot device with the bootdisk in the drive save settings and restart, if it boots from the disk the drive is ok, if not your drive is faulty and needs replacing.
