++++Resolved+++ Beware this UK vendor

I will doubtlessly get Banned for posting this however if it is posted it may stop others from being caught the same way!

About February this year I placed an order for 8 EK waterblocks to fit AMD5850 Reference cards. The vendor WaterCooling UK had 4 in stock and agreed to try and order another 4 direct from EK. Because this was a special order Watercooling UK asked for upfront payment which I paid a total of 353 UK Pounds. It transpired that EK factory had stopped making the 5850 Blocks so Watercooling UK were able to supply only 4 from their stock and not the original required 8. We renegotiated prices, I agreed to take some other items and there was left a balance of 140 UK pounds to be refunded to me.
By now you can guess where we are going with this, of course Watercooling UK have now stopped answering E-mails Of course because the delivery took so long I am outside the PayPal 45 day limit on refund transactions. So it looks like I am out of pocket to the tune of about US$240.
Frankly I am very surprised by this, they seemed to have a good reputation, however there is no mistaking that they are now deliberately not answering e-mails so you can draw your own conclusions from that.
(I can provide an e-mail chain to support everything stated here!)

Forewarned is Forearmed

EDIT:- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This matter has been resolved. Once this matter was brought to the attention of WCUK they made every effort to resolve it promptly It appears this was a genuine oversight caused by separate issues with the WCUK Web site and e-mail system that caused the lack of communication. WCUK have now fixed those IT issues and this kind of problems should not re-occur.
The high level of confidence in WCUK is shown by the number of people who posted their surprise at my initial post. While this has been a PITA for both parties involved the outcome shows that the confidence expressed in WCUK is not misplaced.

Thanks to Moto for forwarding the initial post on to WCUK.

More about : resolved beware vendor

These guys?
http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/
I've had several purchases from them with no issues which is why they are in the W/c sticky as a recommended UK vendor,
I can't comment on your situation other than the eponymous 'That sucks' type comment
I would keep trying to contact them though to get resolution, I dislike losing money myself :)
Sorry you had a bad experience man

If you don't mind me asking what did you need 8 AMD5850 water blocks for?

Isn't the AMD5850 coming up on its 3 year old birthday?

No Offense! Loosing money sucks, but I'm trying to understand how and why you got in this position in the first place?

I thought watercoolinguk was and has been a reputable dealership?

You are right about the 5850 being dated they are however very efficient at some things. Also this saga started in January this year and at that time there was not much more efficient than 5850's dollar for dollar.

I went through a similar experience with Kobalk computers when ordering a custom clevo - very, very luckily for me I got my money back just before they went into liquidation. But it did take one frustratingly hell of an email trail, and an equal amount of good luck!

Only if the moderators are ok, we could request a 'generalised' update from them (through their standard web contact form) to be posted here - I'm sure they don't want bad publicity.

- hope you get this resolved.

Regarding moderators we do have a section specifically for this type of complaint, and this thread should be moved there.

I hope this brings a resolution. If they choose to respond to your query it begs the question, why have they been unable to respond to my queries for the last 2 Months?

Never the less I will observe proceedings with great interest

Despite their website saying "We recommend the use of email as it is quick, efficient, and lets you and us keep a record of previous correspondence.", I recommend you write formally by post to the only address they publish which is:-
WatercoolingUK, Birch House, Bradfield Road, Urmston, Manchester, M41 9PF, UK.

Under British law, any .co.uk website owner which is a Limited Company has to publish it's Registered Office so that won't be hard to find if a second letter is necessary.

Good luck.

Quick update Joe, I had an email from Rob at WCUK today, (I believe you may have been dealing with him)
As the thread was moved my link didn't work but I've provided the correct link now so hopefully he'll check in and respond, maybe not in-thread, but at least by P.m.'ing you in regards to the matter,
I hope this can be resolved to both parties satisfaction amicably :)
