Hey Experts,
I am planning a new build after the Intel price cuts later this month and was planning on the MSI P6N Diamond 680i SLI mobo.
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813130080
I chose this board mainly because it supports 1333 FSB and supports SLI (2x16), both items features that I think will help future proof the board for some time. I don't plan on doing SLI in the initial build but I figure that down the road a quick way to get added performance would be to SLI.
Anyway, I was looking at MSIs website and saw this:
"SLI Technology only supports 32-bit and 64-bit Windows XP"
I don't plan to use Vista yet, but now I am concerned that if down the road I decide I want to SLI, the board might exclude me from moving to Vista if I wanted to. I guess a driver update could rectify that situation, but who knows for sure.
Has anybody else seen this and would it scare anybody off?
Thanks in advance!
