That's the goal. A jump of 1ghz. This is my first time so I'd love your help.
Here's my system specs:

Foxconn 865G7MF-SH LGA 775 Intel 865G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

XFX Geforce 6200 256MB DDR2 AGP 8x Slot

512MB (1 x 512) Rendition DDR PC3200

Intel Pentium D 805 Smithfield 2.66GHz LGA 775 Dual Core,EM64T Processor Model

Western Digital 150GB IDE

DEER DR-B450E PSU (Total output: 450W Max)

Zalman CNPS7700-AlCu
I'm going to link this other post that is similar to my setup.
http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/overclocking-options-BIOs-ftopict236781.html

My BIOS is the Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG I865 Series 5C9F1P12 03/31/06 (which is the same one in the link provided above.)

I believe that my BIOS doesn't have functions to manipulate the FSB yet. If you take a look at the 4th picture in the link (Advanced Chipset Features), there are RAM settings, but no CPU manipulation.

I tried to flash it with an updated one (on the Foxconn website (http://www.foxconnchannel.com/EN-US/service/downloads.aspx?Model=865G7MF-SH&DownID=en-gb0000002)) hoping that I would be able to change the FSB with the update, but I couldn't go through with the flashing, because I was given the error "Flash rom is write protected" or the "disk write protect error" message.

If anyone knows more about this motherboard, regarding flash chip jumpers, Intel 865G chipset, etc., do help out. I think this is the wrong board to be o/c'ing on, but I've got to try. Someone from this link, http://www.wimsbios.com/phpBB2/topic5687.html, has said that it is possible to edit the chipset register so that I can bypass the write protect.

If anyone knows how to re-write the chipset register, let me know. 8)

i believe with foxconns the overclocking options if anything are called "super clock" etc - in one of the first menu's

Meh... 805D should be buried.

Soz cant help with ur mobo.

Otherwise... u will find it difficult to cool with that cooler, when i had my 805D @ ~3.6Ghz on a zalman beetle + aux fans, it would run near thermal limit in BF2!
The e4300 is faster at 1.8Ghz that the 805 at 3.6

Abandon it. U can EASILY get a 1Ghz oc with a 4300... IF u wanna spend on costly upgrades

I'm going to keep trying. But yeah, the BIOS does have the Super Speed setting not Super Clock, haha. Thing is when I enter that, it only gives me 2 options and states that my CPU clock is at 133mhz. The two options are Spread spectrum in which i can choose 25% 50% 75% 100% off and the other one is auto detect PCI Clk. Those aren't really of any help. Foxconn is horrible for rthe oc scene, heh.

If anyone can still help, let me know. I'm pretty sure I got to update BIOS somehow by bypassing the write protect... somehow...

I've also got another post on mouses and mousepads over here:
