Go with the 1950XT. The extra memory on the pro won't help unless you play at higher resolutions. The XT's performance warrants the $10 extra over the 256mb pro.

I concur with everyone else, get the XT for the extra 10 dollars.have fun playing those games. The only concession I will make is that the 512 pro version will allow you to play at significantly higher resolutions than the 256.So if you play 1600X1200 or higher, then I would consider the 512.Goodluck.

the XT, hey cleave, when did you get the E4300?

A little while ago, haven't really tried to OC it yet but I have to this week for an article.

If I can get anywhere near your 3.6 Ghz I'll be very pleased! That's a hellagood OC you got there. :D

thanks guys, i bought the X1950XT from newegg this morning. Now just have to hope i get the rebate.

Thanks for the guidance. Overwhelming opionion was the XT

yeah, although i am slightly concerned about it's identity, i bought it as an OEM processor, the board had difficulties recognizing it so i flashed the bios, thinking because it was a newer processor it needed a bios that had its cpuid for it to recognize it, but alas i had to set everythign manually for it and in cpu-z it comes up as and "Intel Core 2 Duo", it says nothing about E4300, but it does say it is a dual core, 2mb cache allendale... i'm starting to thing it could be an ES because i paid little to no attention to the IHS before i took it off.

Try to get the x1950xt from his with iceq cooling because the saphire one sounds like a vacuum cleaner it is very annoying.
