I want to send the output of my VGA monitor to my HITACHI HDTV.
It has 5 input channels. 2 component that are used by my STB and DVD
and 3 S-Video and composit inputs.
I know that Component is best but really do not want to spend $100 for a
swithc.
There are several pass thru boxes that I hav found onn the WEB
Does anyone have any experience...good or bad with these boxes?
I keep hearing that you can fry your TV if ti is not set up right.
I think that the only concern is teh scan rate. Is there more to ir.

Your "monitor" has VGA "output"? Perhaps you mean your PC.

"Best" would be if your PC and TV had DVI (or HDMI). Next best would be
if your TV had VGA input. VGA to component would require some sort of
converter box (not just a cable) since the signals are different. Do a
web search for "vga to component".
Easiest would be if your PC video card has S-video or composite output,
however, you might be disappointed by lack of sharpness.
