Shut off display

was trying to add a monitor to my laptop, and hit a stop button in the display properties- settings- monitor- driver tab. none of my other computers have this same option on the driver tab. what should I do to turn whatever I shut off, back on.

Try booting into safe mode (f8 on startup).
