Help Req - Choice of handheld

Hi all,
I am considering purchasing a handheld in the New Year and I would
appreciate a bit of guidance please.

I am faced with an overwhelming choice really, pocket pc, palm, linux,
which OS is best?

I know the answer will be subjective but I would like to hear peoples
opinions.

Also, to help me cut the wheat from the chaff, does anyone know of a
model in the £300 - £400 price bracket that has the following features..

In-built camera
Compact-flash expansion slot
Wi-Fi (is that the correct term?) :-S
Bluetooth
Voice recorder
Colour display
