If you are looking for a consumer model, you will likely find the
plasmas will come with either a DVI or HDMI connector but not both. For
future compatibility, HDMI is preferred anyway.
The best value in HD plasmas - combination of quality and price - is
generally considered to be the Panasonics as they have the best black
levels around. You currently can get the commercial Panasonic 42" HD
TH-42PHD7UY for close to $3K with table stand from reputable on-line
dealers. But these do not have tuners, speakers, and not as many
connectors. The new Panasonic HD consumer models, the PX50s are due in
May - and at big price cuts from the current PX25 models. (The ED 42PD50
is due in mid to late March). For tons of info on plasmas and direct
view LCDs, it is hard to beat
