Mystery internet traffic

I just had a wireless ISP installed a couple weeks ago. I am hardwired to the antenna with no wireless router. I notice that when I am not online my network activity monitor is constantly showing in and out traffic. Is ther an app that can capture this unwanted traffic. When gaming online this activity appears to affect it.

That's normal, it is most likely windows. U can install free NetWorx Bandwidth Monitoring and see if your net is used, just by hovering over the icon with the mouse. Windows could be checking for update and other things....

Try NetLimiter Monitor. Gives you detail on traffic as well as what program is accessing the internet.

I couldn't get NetWorx to worx plus my anti-virus had a cow about something to do with it.
NetLimiter Monitor seems to be giving me the info (and consequent peace of mind) I was after.
