Bios Display at Power-up too brief to read
Aug 5, 2010, 5:01 PM
I have a Compaq CQ60-120US laptop running vista (home premium).
When I power it on, the Bios displays a line of information about various command key options (such as F8, F10, etc.)
But the duration of the display is less than 2 seconds .. too short a time to read anything.
It is possible to "pause" the display with the keyboard "pause" button ([fn][pg dn]. But, is there a way to change a Bios setting to give a longer display time??
There are many user complaints on the web about this problem, but I can't find a solution.
Thanks for your help.

bios display power read

not that ive ever heard of. The BIOS only takes the time it needs to get started. That time is dependent on your computer hardware.
