Last response: in Windows Vista

Allright, i have accidentally set my system to boot with 256MBs of RAM, and it has taken over 3 hours to get it to respond....I wanna restore my RAM to get my system up to speed. I tried using Readyboost and im just coming to the conclusion that its a waste of time. What i dont understand is: Why is it that when i go to msconfig {system configuration} IT DOESNT just let me change the amount of freakin RAM and hit ok! I hit apply, and it goes back to 256. Im setting to 4096 MBs and it just sets back to 256MB. Help, omg, i\ve gotten so frustrated that...IDK what im gonna do. I cant replyt here often, i need help, please.

Does the bios recognize the correct amount of ram? If not maybe try to reset the cmos or see if you can modify the amount there.

Have you tried the "Use original boot config" option?
