How do i set up dual channel on this board

Is it like the two beside eachother is dual channel or the 2 green makes it dual channel. Also why is dual channel (2x512) faster than just a 1 gb stick.

The page tells you in the diagram. one green and one purple slot next to each other.

2 sticks is faster than 1 because the memory controller can write and read from 2 sticks at once instead of just one stick.

Ok so i see how the green is channel A and the purple is Channel B.

Does dual chanel mean one off of every different channel thoe?? or two on the same channel?? im just not seeing how you know can see that form the diagram and id liek to know for future referance.
