Avg symantec

Have 'AVG Free Edition' and 'AVG 8.0' installed. Can no longer access 'Virus Vault' or any other areas of either program as I used to. Why?

Just unistall AVG and reinstall the latest free version. AVG Free 9.0

Thanx, Grumpy, but I cannot get either AVG Free or AVG 8 to uninstall. I tried to install AVG 9, but just as it was about to complete the install, it stopped, and refused to install. Any other suggestion, what can I try next? I'm really concerned about whether I have AVG protection now.
