UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME Tags: Boot CD-Rom Laptops Last response: January 1, 2010 3:16 PM in Laptops & Notebooks Share chasethis48 January 1, 2010 2:49:44 PM Hi. I received the blue screen of death that read "UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME" on my Averatec laptop. I understand that if I were to insert the Windows XP disk into my CD Rom, I may be able to fix the problem. The problem is my CD Rom doesn't work. I would like to know if I can use a usb port to load the software by either using my external cd rom or flash drive?
