It may be that the drive has failed and needs to be replaced with a new one.

I have met and know a lot of Dr.'s over the past 25 years I have been married to my wife. Not a single one is so incompotnet to post a question in this manner on a public forum. These kinds of 'Troll Fodder' posts are becoming more and more prominent recently. Like how many times recently has the question been asked, "how do I download the driver for my DVD?" It's getting to be pathetic.
