My DVD burner drive used to open blank cds and dvds so that I could place temporary files on it and then burn the cd using XPs burning software. For some reason it just decided to stop and I didn't add any burning software and I have updated the firmware for the drive. Any suggestions? I have nero that i could try putting on there and use that but i just like to copy and paste since it is rather easy.

Try System Restore to before the problem.

I just reinstalled the OS so that shouldn't be the problem. It had that problem before I did reinstall as well so it can't be the system. I have put Nero on it and that works, but I would still like to figure out what the issue is.
