More about sound
  1. open up your computer device manager and see if there is a sound device in there. If it shows with a yellow question mark then its there, but probably not installed properly.

Assuming you bought this computer from HP, look for the service tag on it and go to HP's website see what device is installed on it, go find the Windows 7 compatible drivers for it. Now, if you didnt get it from HP then you may have to look at the box/original invoice/on the computer, to see if it has the HP service tag number on it.

If you can't find a service tag number anywhere to locate some drivers that will probably work, go to HP's service webstie for driver download and follow all the steps in order to find the drivers for your soundcard.

I tried searching HP's website for Pavilion 6061 and got nothing back about a laptop. The link is below to where you need to search at, its not very intuitive, but its worth a shot. Hope this helps.
