I can't decide on what Anti-Virus/Security Solution to pick for an upcoming build I will do. The choices I can't decide from are Norton Anti-Virus 2012, ESET Smart Security v.5, or McAfee Internet Security 2012... I want something that works in the background and doesnt interfere with performance (in the "cloud"), and has excellent security. Thanks for the help! Also name any other security option that is great as well!

Solution
Stay away from McAfee Internet Security 2012, no matter what u do : )

Norton got better recently, but Kaspersky or G data or Bitdeffender are among the best!

If I was u, I would get the AV only and best firewall COMODO (free)

Any of them will do. Try before u buy it - 1 mo. for free. Paid one is better than free ones, but free ones are good too, these days. I have Kaspersky, but G data I tried and the Bitdeffender is great too.

For free Avast is good too. And the necessity is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free, as a additional scanner.

I used it for trial for a few weeks, when I read one of your posts.

Never before that, I have even thought about Gdata, as there is too many of them out there. Had to try it after u mentioned the dual scan engine.

It is big program.
