OK,

Just bought a Samsung SyncMaster 932BF (19" LCD), but I have an annoying
problem. Best description I can muster is "jumpyness" in Call of Duty 2.

Searched around, turned VSYNC on, played with refresh rates of 60/75 Hz.
Things improved a bit with vsync on, but still not as great as I expected.
Res of 1280x1024.

Shouldn't be a cpu problem, overclocking E4300 to 3GHz.

Anyone suggest what the problem might be, or a better LCD monitor?

Thanks.

whats your entire system setup?

If by jumpiness you mean "stuttering" then it may be because you don't have enough RAM? I had stuttering on oblivion and after I added 2GB I became a happy man again.

1) We need your entire system setup: Proc, Mobo, PSU, Memory, etc...

2) Check your FPS (Frames Per Second) with FRAPS and report back: http://www.fraps.com/

Play on your CRT again just to be sure.

I too find that LCD's feel jumpy(only on some FPS games) its just that they don't refresh as fast a CRT.

Your best bet if ure fps are ok is as done Vsync, refresh of 75 and tripple buffering on.(for Open GL games)

EDIT
and do note its a feeling more then actual jumping. provided the fps are ok. You may well get used to it with time.
